Workplace Safety and Optimised Workflows Drive Investment Decisions

New cutting-edge speed roller doors at UK warehouse facility
April 9, 2025

We’re fully committed to driving business improvements through targeted, strategic investments, with a relentless focus on quality and safety at the heart of every decision. This approach has strengthened our management team, streamlined decision-making and reduced risks.

Our investments are strategically directed toward enhancing workplace safety and optimising workflows. Looking forward, we have several larger-scale projects under review, ready to be rolled out based on our evolving priorities.

One of our standout investments in 2024 was replacing traditional strip curtain doors with cutting-edge speed roller doors at our UK facility. Using internal tracking data, we identified the busiest warehouses and prioritised these for immediate upgrades.

Switching to speed roller doors has not only helped us maintain BRC food safety standards but also boosted operational safety. The new doors offer clear visibility, reduce near-miss incidents, and automatically detect approaching forklifts, opening in seconds to keep things moving smoothly. Thank you to Essex Industrial Doors Ltd for the great customer service during installation.

Encouraged by the results, we’re extending this upgrade program into 2025, aiming to replace all remaining doors and further elevate safety and efficiency across the board.

Managing Director, Matt Bibb says: “Our investment strategy is firmly anchored in safety, efficiency, and long-term sustainability. We remain committed to evolving our plans to meet new challenges and capitalise on emerging opportunities. This approach will ensure continued growth and reinforces our dedication to operational excellence.”
