We’re thrilled to see our approach to safe warehouse practices feature in the latest UKWA publication. The article explains how Commodity Centre has adapted to the resourcing and risk challenges of handling bagged cargo by introducing Exoskeleton technology into the warehouse operations.

The devices have also reduced errors, accidents and staff turnover in high physical effort roles, all of which have translated into direct and indirect cost savings for the business. Reduced physical strain on workers has led to fewer injuries, fewer sick days, and lower workers’ compensation claims. This decreased the operational disruption caused by absences and strengthened team performance. The business also expects to realise a financial risk reduction, as the exoskeletons reduce the impact of work-related illnesses and injuries.
