Following years in development, months of planning and weeks of preparation the Commodity Centre team, supported by our MHE partner Armill were ready to test themselves and their soapbox racer at the UK’s second biggest soapbox event in Great Dunmow in Essex.

Racing against 40 other teams and despite this being their first attempt at building and racing a soapbox, they set the best time and continually improved over the three runs.

Despite fierce competition the team came an incredible first in class and second overall, a mere 1.2 seconds behind the overall winner.

They are determined to win in 2023 and are already making changes to the car to deliver on this objective. #continuousimprovement
